Director of Patient Financial Services (16681)
The Director of Patient Financial Services will direct, implements and administers operations to ensure required patient information is obtained and billing/collection activities result in the receipt of revenue for hospital services to meet the organization’s financial projections. Assures compliance with all organizational, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Performs financial review and analysis of accounts receivable and billing. Develops and maintains various statistical analysis and makes presentations of financial data as required. Thorough knowledge of third party payers. Must possess effective organizational, oral and written communication skills, problem solving ability, program development, along with strong leadership skills
Requirements: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business or Healthcare Administration. 5 years experience in a hospital Business Office environment with over 300 beds, at least 7 years in an administrative/supervisory capacity. Union environment experience is a PLUS!

Develops, implements and directs the accounting functions of CPMC, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, month-end and year-end close and financial analysis and reporting. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Directs accounting practices, preparation and maintenance of fiscal accounting records and reports; monthly statistics; capital assets; and the preparation of all third party cost reimbursement reports. Responsible for the compliance and implementation of new and/or modified accounting systems and procedures. Hires, trains, supervises, conducts performance evaluations and recommends disciplinary action for staff.
